New Year's is my personal favorite holiday. New year's resolution I've given up on now a days. It's still my favorite though.
What's your favorite?

I think it's pretty lame that they do not sell beer on Christmas day. At least in Michigan they don't. I'm not sure why either. Maybe that's why there's a high suicide rate on that particular day.
It sucks but of course I was prepared. They're not getting me with that one again.
While I'm at it, I might as well say that the drinking law should be 18 years of age for one reason.
The reason is simple. If you can die for your country, you should be able to drink. I guess there is another reason, if you can be tried as an adult you should be able to drink also.
My opinion...

I couldn't help but notice that people take way to long to get out of their cars. What exactly takes so long I wonder?
When I get somewhere I get out... There is nothing left for me to do in the car.
Maybe they want to finish listening to the song that is playing, or finish talking on their cell phones.
Which I don't believe the cell phone excuse because I see way to many people talking everywhere they go, regardless of where they're at.
Not that anyone needs an excuse. I just don't get it.
I've come to the realization that I notice weird things like that.
But it does drive me a little crazy.
I wish I could ignore half the things I see and hear.

I'm sick of commercials that have people with fake smiles and the music in the background. Fake actors, who I'm supposed to take advice from. I don't know them! Their getting paid, to say whatever the people who paid them told them what to say.
All these people act happy-go lucky, skipping around not a care in the world because of what ever their promoting.
Singing in commercials drive me insane!
And of course the dating ones.
Any of the new, "text" through your phone seem like it's a horrible idea and a scam.
I don't know if it's just me or not, but there are way too many dating commercials directed towards men. Women don't get that kind of pressure everyday. In that way they have it a little easier. Although their all, really lame commercials. I would never call one up because I know it's a scam.
Try watching televison at night. I'm sure most already know what I'm talking about.

I've been around for over 27 years now, and there have been some things that I have noticed.(not based on this picture) For one I think my left ear, is a little lower than my right?
Another thing I noticed is, my left nostril drains more than the other. Not just when I'm sick. It's not like I have to blow out of the one side all the time. But my left sinus to my nose, seems to either work a little better, or the right side doesn't work as well? I'm not sure?
I noticed that my right eye is more dominant than the left. But that's not very uncommon. Last time I checked with the eye doctor I was 20/20. Although it's been 10 years! I've noticed that it has changed a little. I don't need glasses or anything. But the eye doctor did give me glasses, to help the headaches I used to get from reading. "Reading glasses." It seemed to me though, that it was affecting my eyesight, more than just helping out my headaches. Needless to say I stopped wearing them. So I'm glad to say I don't get the headaches anymore like they were at that time. It's very rare that I get them now.
My sister claimed while she was cutting my hair, that I have a couple grey hairs already. I believe her. I blame it on the stress. But I guess I'm supposed to think that's why I became the person I'am today.
But I thought I would go bald before I would go grey?
Oh well, another curve ball.

Had to listen to the Detroit Red Wings on the Internet tonight. They did win. But what I really want to talk about, is why I had to listen to it on the Internet.
I guess the second package isn't good enough to see the Detroit Red Wings play. "Dish network" agreed that Dan(my brother in law), would be able to get the Red Wings games when he first signed up. Dan was originally told that FSN(FOX Sports Net) was includeed in the FIRST pakage. They came out and installed the dish left and it was then that everyone realized that FSN was not included in the FIRST package. So Dan had to call Dish Network up that day and upgrade to the second package as he was lied to by the company when they gave their "sales pitch" over the phone.
Last year some of the games played on Outdoor Living Network(O.L.N.)
Now their playing on "VERSUS" instead of OLN.
In both cases Dan nor I get "OLN" or "VERSUS"
So we could not view the games that everyone enjoys watching.
I would think this would upset some of you? When you pay a little more money for something, and not get what you ultimately wanted to begin with.
Watch yourself...and others?

Last night was so much fun that I'm not sure of what to do tonight. Luckily the red wings are on. But that's not until 10:00. Definitely good times. It was too bad I had to go to sleep to make sure I made it in to work this morning. I heard my sister was a little too drunk and acting crazy. They say I'm lucky to have gone to bed early. That made me feel better. I hate drama.

A little over a week since I've posted. By a few hours. So far I'm taking small steps to get thing's going. I'm almost where I want to be. I've realized time and time again that music is my life. Listening and playing. I have been going over the music I made up about 3 months ago and know it isn't that bad. It just needs a little work. It takes up a lot of time and is harder than I thought. Only because I have to be in the right mood to play(not to mention I'm a perfectionist). Certain times thing's come to me. Other times it takes more than just doing it. The right state of mind I guess. I can be creative one day and the next I'm not sure of what to do. Anyways, that's where I'm at.

Another Sunday...Bring on the week.
I had a good weekend at least. But of course it flew bye. Although I did wake up today thinking I was about 4 hours late for work. I hate when that happens until I realize I have the day off. I do work 6 days a week and it's never enough money or enough sleep. I need a second job or just a better job that pays more.
Life keeps going and going. That's a good thing though. I just need one thing. Can you guess what that is? Well.. I'm not going to tell you because maybe you can tell me...

I wonder about some of these thriller movies coming out all year? But even more so now, the closer it gets to Halloween. They are really comming out with them now, more than ever, of course.
I'm not a huge fan.
Most thrillers are predictable in my opinion?
Also, every sequal has a begining now.
Or a remake of a old movie.
Come up with something new. Please.
I'm begging you.

It's like I carry bad luck with me?
Where I work has had problems with our checks ever since, I started to work there.
Also there is less demand of the work we've got to do.
It's probably all just in my head?
Or at least I hope so.
This tree is straight up?
But has a crooked trunk!
Different. But Kind of interesting.
It reminds me of a crooked politician.
I know...
That's a knee slapper... Isn't it?

Every little thing that has happened to me lately, turned out to be more of a hassle rather than it all running smoothly. It all has to do with money.
Saying, "money is the root of all evil" would be going a little too far in my case.
But it sure does make things somewhat more difficult.
Earlier today though, just thinking about all the things that have happened. I began to crack a smile. For these type of things seem to happen to me quite often. But I always get through it somehow or another I always make it out somehow. What made me crack a smile is the things that do happen to me are crazy. Or they make me want to go crazy?
I just thought about it and realized that maybe, I tend to worry about things too much. I've always thought, I just have bad luck, until the good luck comes into play and wins the end. This is me in the picture above. Always missing something or someone?
Add a paint job.
Add a paint job.
For instance my car.
There was something wrong with it and now it's almost fixed. There's only one problem left with it. It leaks antifreeze now. Bad line, easy fix.
This sounds normal correct?
The thing is, it took me 3 to 4 months to get this far.
Many people looked at it to fix it.
One guy actually looked at it and he was a mechanic, who owned a fix it all shop.
While it was there the windshield and driver side window got smashed by someone.
The owner/mechanic didn't want anything to do with the car anymore.
He made me take it saying"I don't want to see this car here no more". Made me sign something saying I'll take it or it will get towed. He had it for a week. Still didn't get it running and wanted $200 because it sat there for a week and the work he put into it and a couple of parts that it did need though. Not the other things someone that worked for him put in new plugs and wires but they weren't supposed to.
I ended up paying $125. I felt ripped and so did he.
Towing it away itself with one of my brothers was an ordeal, the tow-strap broke. 50 feet down from where it was parked. On a side street by a liquor store, which when that happened, me and my brother Dave. Decided to push it into the parking lot of the liquor store. Until suddenly. Two vehicles pull up and the second person appeared to be following the one in front of them.
One of them recognized my car(from working on it) and knows one of my other brothers Steve(not the one that's with me). But I did know one of the guys older brother, weird. Anyways they get a chain to tow it just down the road where they were moving things into a new house they bought.
This guy Drew, about 19 years old has fixed my car in less than a week(the one that I knew his older brother).
So many people have looked at it and this guy gets it instantly telling me"I've never done what is actually wrong with it but I think I can fix it." Done.
I got a ticket though, for bad tags while it sat there for one day before he could get to it, and he even tried to talk the cop out of it. I don't even know this dude Drew. But he seems really cool. Chargin me $300 less than someone else, who supposedly knew what the problem was.
From one person to another it better be fixed now.
When I asked my brother who knows Drew said"Oh, him? He's the master!"
apparently he is, but I just hope the whole thing is over and done with!
Somehow I Doubt it.
But who knows?
That's barely even scraping the top of the way my life goes.
I guess there's one good thing about it.
It's never boring.....?

Welcome to it. I hope you enjoy!
Ice...
Cold.
I'm feeling it!
The weather around here in Michigan went from warm to cold way to quickly. Some would say "thats Michigan for ya".
And of course I would have to agree. Living here all my life I found out fast that it could be snowing one day and shorts weather the next.(Or at least close to it)
Last year was a mild winter and supposedly it will be worse this year. I hope not.
But, we'll see?
And it just so happens that I'm going to work outside this year.
Lucky me huh?

Made in......?
Nice looking paper weight, don't ya think?
Pretty Patriotic and religious"God Bless America". But I think you should look at the next picture.
Too bad it's Made In China!
Hundreds of thousands of flags I've seen are also made in china. How did it escalade into this? Into them making the only thing our country has to believe in. We're not even profitting off it, by having workers in our own country produce our own flag! Sad really.
Update:A nice lady pointed out I was not intirely correct. No offense to any other country.... I just thought the whole thing was odd. I just wish things were easy and simple to make the flags in our own country, and make them somehow cheap like China. Is that so hard to Imagine? Or to do? I really don't think so.
The question I have is, what do we make for other countries? Certainly not their flags I'm pretty sure.
She's in my comments and I tried to reply back as best as I could. Then I realized I did not explain myself very well in this particular post.
We all make mistakes.

Music to my ears?
Picture taken of the Redford Township Connection
Music helps you use both the right and the left side of your brain. It also puts children in the right frame of mind to learn. As the article says exposure to music on a regular basis enhances the ability to think and process in three dimentions.
It is said to make the brain release serotonin which is calming, it aids sleep by releasing melatonin, and dopamine which when released boosts motor skills.
See, thats why I laugh when I hear that the music was the culprit behind anything.
At worst, the best complaint I've heard is the lyrics are bad for the children. But thier just words. Maybe if we didn't make such a big deal out of it, it wouldn't BE as big of a deal. I guess if everyone thought of words like I do, less people would get offended.
It's not like I've never got offended by certain words, but it has been years. All I'm saying is maybe we take things a little too seriously and need to calm down a bit. Now I'm getting off track. Music has gotten me through a lot of hard times and I think if anything, it's kept me sane(along with a couple beers).
My love is music, and I will continue to play and listen, untill I die.
That may be just a little extreme.
Extra note if you've checked out any of my google pages? I havn't had a chance untill now to work on them. Small problem that is now fixed, I apoligize.

If you can get through the blah blah blah....
I never knew I had so much to talk about?
Lions
Going to the Lions preseason game tonight with my older brother. The picture has nothing to do with the Lions, but I thought it was kinda cool.
I don't really care if they win or lose, but I know it's going to be fun. Got the tickets from Conrad, a guy I work with. I'm just glad that I'm actually getting out of the house and doing something, rather than doing the same thing. Which its still fun hangin out with my friends. This is just something different though. I'm into change. Lately my life is changing everyday, and for the better. If you can believe it? To tell you the truth I can't. But I do hope that continues. I have a weird feeling it will.

Insomnia
Did today last forever or what?
That reminds me of something....Waking Up!
First of all, waking up early has never been appealing to me. In fact I can't stand it. As the saying goes "It's for the birds". I'am naturally a night person and in all ways have been. If I ever get the chance to work in the afternoon(and get paid well) I would take it. Because the nights are my playground, and I could be unstoppable. (In a sense of course.) I'm the type of person who hears the birds chirping and decides it's probably time to go to sleep, rather than to wake up.
Too many things are based around waking up early in the morning. I've heard too many times the assumption that people are lazy because they didn't wake up early. Implying something like that to me doesn't go over so well, if you can imagine. What they don't know is what time they might of went to sleep. They obviously were either tired, or just like to sleep, and whats wrong with that? Dosen't everyone in the world need sleep? I shouldn't really rip on those people because they don't know any better. My whole life has been based on waking up early. It started with school and continued from there.
Unfortunately I have a slight case of insomnia. Let me tell ya it's not a vacation. I say slight because I've never seen a doctor about it. But after this many years of trying different things to remedy it. I'm positive I have it. Maybe someday I'll see a doctor.
Okay I'm done. That was a lot to type in about 10 minutes of my mind spewing out on to the blog. Sleep well........

By reading this blog, you might think I'm crazy, negative, humorous,or even irrational when or if you finish. But I'm sure of one thing, we are all a little bit of each one whether you like to believe it or not. Just keep an open mind to all the things that come to you in life and in this Blog.
Eventually I'll have something positve to say.
The littlest things get on my nerves!
Yep I'll admit it.
Today good ol' Burger King. What do they say in their ad/commercials? I believe its "Have it your way"(have you seen the stickers they have on their doors now).Anyways ordering two double cheese burgers, for my brother and my sister. I was very specific, one was a meal and the other just the burger, then the rest was what I wanted. They did give me one, but not the other. I walk back in and a worker gave me the "in a moment" finger with a head set on. He asked me if had been helped way after I was helped already. But back to the same lady that rang me up. Apparently the lady did not ring it up on the register. Of course she's not even going to consider that she could have made a mistake. So It sounded, and looked to her as if I was lying I'm sure, receipt or not. Right before me a lady had to come in with a burger that was wrong for her kid. Well lets just say she gave me a hard time. Obviously not a Burger King that is ran very well. So I paid for it and bit my tongue because I know how it is.
I worked at a Burger King myself. Not much has changed though I'll tell ya that.
The other day was referred to Target, from Office Depot for a audio cord on my computer. A guy that worked there at Target tried to help. I pretty much knew what I was looking for but I thought maybe he did know what he was talking about. So I took his advice on a cord he said would work. It didn't. So I took it back. No problem there though. It turns out they don't have what I'm looking for either. So Target is still okay in my book. Oh well. I feel better now that I got all that out.
Luckily I don't flip out.... Usually?(just kidding)

This is a couch burning. I do not entirely agree with doing this, but I did have a good time over all that night. I'm not sure if you've ever seen a couch burning but I would advise getting back away from it at least 40-50 feet. It goes up real quick and is toxic. I would say by at the time this picture (the one thats engulfed)was taken when it was burning for maybe a minute.
This got me thinking. In fact a lot of things in your home or apartment burn really well. Like carpet, mattresses, curtains and of course anything wood(Which is almost everything we make or build is made out of). It's not a relief to me that most things in our homes burn so easily. We need to come up with a better material that doesn't burn that fast in our homes. The regulations are not good enough? I'm sure you know all this, but it's a good reminder to be careful if you smoke ciggarettes or when your cooking. It's just one more thing that is going through my mind that I'm concerned about.

My thoughts......
I can't stop these thoughts from going through my mind!
Whatever comes to me. Theres more than this to life.
Why are we so obsessed with money? The more some of us have, the more we like to hoard it.
DVD's and CD's are not as great as people think they are. One scratch and it could be the end of it. They say that they have better quality as far as picture or sound, which may be true. But all the VCR tapes and cassette tapes of mine still work. I cannot say the same about my CD's or DVD's. Sure they now have some sort of plastic cover to protect them, but I believe that they should of thought of that before they sold billions of them. Now it appears to me to just be another way of charging us. Shouldn't they be handing the protective covers out? I despise Widescreen movies when there is no option to see it formatted for the screen. When it gives me the hand or a circle with a slash through it basically saying that I can't do something. That really urks me. The worst is when you have no choice but they show you little tid bits of the movie your about to watch. If I wanted to know about the movie, I would simply watch the previews that they force upon me every time I turn on the T.V. Seriously, commercials are enough to make me consider never watching T.V. again.
Did you ever notice commercials are slightly louder?(just pumping it into your brain)
Another problem is too many paid televison infomercials on late at night. Thats when I watch a lot of T.V. I don't think we should have to pay for that or any other channels that are useless.
I'm starting to think Dish Network is worthless too. Everytime a storm passes through it goes out. It also goes out too often to reboot or whatever it does entirely to often. Comcast is not that great either.
All we care about is ourselves. People are rarely nice. Unless, they want something. When was the last time you went out of your way for someone? This is a generalization of course because don't get me wrong, I'm far from being a saint.
I just do not understand the way we are towards each other. A lot of us do not care about the planet, as we are destroying it everyday. We continue to make cars that are bad for the atmosphere. Continue to use gasoline, oil and burn coal. It is not news, that eventually we will run out of these things and then what? When our pockets are full of cash but are unable to breath without a special mask or body suit to protect us from the harm we have done to the planet. Maybe sunblock 3,000 will do the trick to protect us from the sun.I hope I'm not around to say I told you so.
(Under 18 does not apply.)
It's hard to trust anyone you do not know and when exactly do you begin to trust? Most use their own judgement. I try to trust untill they break that trust. A lot of people would say that is a very foollish way to go about it. But I don't really care too much now that I'm older. I cannot go around being paranoid about everyone and everything. I've known too many people that are paranoid about everything. They need to relax because their driving me crazy.
The fact that you have to wear your seatbelt is a little crazy to me. Police will pull you over for it. Shouldn't they be more worried about theft, murder, or anything else illegal? It should be my right or my freedom to wear, or not wear a seatbelt.
Same thing with wearing a helmet. If you are dumb enough not to wear one shouldn't that be your own problem. I assume it's just another way to get money out of us. I may be a little extreme, but it's just my opinion.
Why does it seem the people that work the hardest get paid the least, and the ones that do very little at all get paid more? It depends on the job of course but it's a never ending mystery to me.
Some bosses need to calm down. There's too many that think they are high and almighty. That really irritates me! What makes them so much better. Usually nothing at all.
All right, All right I'm done complaining...Now for some fun.

The
Mosquito
If your wondering about mosquitoes?
The question is.....
Whether or not the male, or the female mosquito is the real blood sucker?
The Webster's Student Dictionary reads....
"Mosquito"
Any of a family of small, dipterous insects having in the female mouth parts that puncture the skin of animals and suck their blood.
The reason why they suck the blood is for the protein to produce eggs. Most species can produce several batches of eggs in their lifetime. Depending on the species, a female can lay 100 to 300 eggs at a time and 1,000 to 3,000 eggs in their lifetime. The larval and pupil stages can be found in many aquatic habitats including discarded containers, tires, temporary woodland pools, tree and crab holes, salt marshes and irrigation ditches.
Although they do not only depend on blood. When they are not sucking your blood, they live off carbohydrate sources such as nectar and fruit juices for several weeks.
The average life span of a female mosquito is 3 to 100 days. As for males, they are not so lucky. They live for an average of 10 to 20 days.
There are over 170 described species from North America. Several species have been introduced from other countries. Not to blame anyone. What's done is done. Lets worry about the future right?
Worldwide, mosquito-borne diseases kill more people than any other single factor!
Nasty little bastards arn't they.
